2025 Emerging Methodologists Workshop (EMW) – Call for Proposals

The 2025 Emerging Methodologists Workshop (EMW) is accepting proposals, with the deadline fast approaching on October 21, 2024. This workshop is aimed at supporting advanced graduate students, post-docs, and junior faculty from under-represented groups who are based at US institutions and developing papers focused on qualitative methods or multi-method research.

The EMW will take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Syracuse University, alongside the Institute for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research (IQMR). It provides a space for scholars to present their methodological work, focusing on how to generate or analyze qualitative data rather than empirical papers.

Workshop Highlights:

• Presenters will be paired with mentors who will help develop their papers in preparation for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
• The workshop covers round-trip airfare, two nights of hotel accommodation, and meals during the event.

Eligibility and Submission:

• Advanced graduate students, post-docs, and junior faculty from under-represented groups at US institutions are eligible to apply.
• Proposals are due by October 21, 2024.
